Telecoms Solutions for Education
Atia Communications are working closely with local councils, education professionals and schools to design and deliver Telecoms solutions which specifically address the needs of the education sector.
Atia Communications has developed a range of solutions that take advantage of an EU subsidised technology fund. The fund is allowing schools, colleges and higher education facilities the ability to access new telecoms technology, at a price which is significantly lower than the normal recommended price. The fund is available to Schools when replacing existing telecoms equipment, and in the process will reduce their Carbon Footprint.
Our systems are designed for the education sector by the education sector. As a result, Atia Communications has designed a number of key features and functions, addressing the daily issues experienced by teachers, support staff and administrators.

Features tailored specifically for schools include:
- An extension number for all staff
All staff can benefit from their own extension number and voicemail, without being tied to a single fixed phone. Staff can even use their laptop or PC as a phone as and when needed. You only pay for concurrent usage, which means substantial cost savings. - Voicemail and Fax inbox for all staff
Staff can receive copies of all voicemails to their email inbox, which can be played and forwarded as needed. Faxes can be automatically converted to email, saving paper and cost. - Integrated Panic or Emergency Button
If there is an emergency, a panic or emergency button available on both Phone or PC is used to alert other teachers or support personnel gaining help immediately. The button is an advanced safety feature protecting both pupils and teachers alike. - Absence Management
Advanced ‘Absence Recording’ tools have been developed that save time and money when recording the absence of pupils. Teachers no longer need to spend vital time verifying absentees. Absence can be automatically recorded and stored centrally. - Integration with Truancy Management
Truancy is managed by alerting parents or guardians when a pupil is absent from school. Automatic tools will send alerts to predefined contacts (through SMS or email) if a truancy alert is triggered. - Instant Messaging between departments
Share information quickly and efficiently through inbuilt instant messaging tools. - Sympathetic to the Environment
All Atia Communications systems are software based, therefore reduce the need for telecoms hardware. Telecoms hardware is a major source of non recyclable IT equipment. - A simple process from order to install
