Unified Communications benefits

Atia Communications allows you to streamline your business with reduced costs and more advanced communication systems.

There are lots of reasons why adopting IP Telehony is good for your business, whether this be to imporve efficiently or effectively reduce administration costs. Below we have listed just some of the key benefits of how Atia Communications can help your business to start to adopt a more streamlined way of working and communicating:

Reduced long-term capital equipment costs

By integrating a company’s infrastructure into a single network there is a reduction in the number of elements that make up the network and need upgrading. This lowers the total capital outlay for the company.

Scalability

The software oriented nature of IP Telephony makes it easily scalable. Adding a new phone to the already running system of IP Telephony doesn't require an additional new line. It can be directly incorporated in the system, within the existing infrastructure. This is not generally the case of most traditional phone systems.

Integration capabilities

The software foundation makes integration between the communications infrastructure and third party services and applications far simpler. IP Telephony solutions which are delivered by Atia Communications are all based on Microsoft open standards, therefore other Microsoft applications will easily integrate using widely available and familiar standards. The cost and time of integration is therefore greatly reduced and the user will be familiar with Microsoft user interfaces cutting down the time of training.

Remote working advantages

Unlike traditional phone systems, IP Telephony can be deployed to virtually any location that has a suitable connection without any programming whatsoever. Aslong as the user is connected then voice calls can be received, whether this be at home, a remote office, abroad or on a customer site. Users can work more effectively from any location and, costs are significantly reduced. Calls are made over the data network, bypassing expensive mobile providers. Users will appear to be in the office answering calls as if they are actually present. Presence management will also allow other users to see if a user is available, logged in, on the phone or away from their desk, regardless of the location they are actually in.

Management and administration costs

It often happens that a new phone is required for a new or relocating employee who moves to a different part of the office. With traditional phone systems a lot of work is involved in moving or re-programming phones. With IP Telephony, a user will simply log into a phone at any location, either in the existing location or at a new location and their profile is automatically downloaded to that location. The phone registers with the network and the user’s details and features are immediately available.

Cabling costs

Deploying VoIP (Voice over IP) in a building means that either the user doesn’t need the phone extension cables anymore, or if it’s a new building, users can dispense with installing them all together. All that is needed is Ethernet cabling (typically a type called category five).

Maintenance and support costs

Support and maintenance costs can be rationalized. Rather than having several contracts covering voice and data separately, a single contract covering your converged network is possible.

Increased productivity

Collaboration applications such as Unified Messaging can save a great deal of time. Instead of having to regularly check a variety of systems for messages, users can connect once to their email system and download all messages of different types at one time. Great for remote and busy users.

Improved customer and employee satisfaction

Having a modern system can help employees to respond to customers’ needs. This increases customer satisfaction and has a positive effect on staff because the system enables your teams to do their job effectively and efficiently. One of the reasons that employees sometimes give for leaving a company is frustration with antiquated phone and computer systems. IP Telephony can address that.
